Complete SMT Process Flow

From BOM and Gerber receipt to final shipment, Shinly International follows a standardized SMT workflow with dedicated QC at every stage, achieving 99.5%+ first-pass yield.

01

Incoming QC (IQC)

Component verification, visual inspection, MSL-based storage of moisture-sensitive parts, and BOM cross-checking to prevent part errors.

02

Solder Paste Printing

Fully automated stencil printer with inline SPI thickness measurement to ensure consistent paste volume — the foundation of solder joint quality.

03

High-Speed Placement

Dual-track placement at 95,000 CPH. Handles 01005 micro components up to 42mm odd-form parts with ±0.035mm accuracy.

04

Reflow Soldering

12-zone lead-free reflow oven with precise temperature profiling to prevent cold joints, tombstoning, and BGA voids.

05

AOI Inspection

Inline AOI catches missing parts, polarity errors, misalignment, and tombstones — flagged in real time for line feedback.

06

X-RAY Inspection

For hidden joints under BGA, QFN, LGA where visual inspection is impossible, X-RAY confirms joint integrity.

07

Functional / ICT Test

Customer-fixture ICT line testing and FCT functional testing. Volume orders may include Burn-in and Aging Test.

08

Outgoing QC (OQC)

Pre-shipment OQC sampling, ESD-safe packaging, with SGS / RoHS / COC documentation included for full traceability.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions our SMT customers ask most often

Q1. What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ) for SMT processing?

Shinly International supports both prototype and high-volume production. The minimum is 1 board for prototyping. For volume production, we recommend 100+ units for better pricing and lead time.

Q2. How long does SMT prototyping take?

Standard SMT prototype lead time is 3-5 business days from when BOM, Gerber, and components are all available. Rush orders can be completed in 24-48 hours depending on component availability.

Q3. Can you source components, or only consigned material?

Both. Turnkey: Shinly handles all component sourcing and inventory. Consigned: customer provides main components and we supplement minor parts and handle production.

Q4. What files do I need to provide for a quote?

Complete BOM (with brand and part numbers), Gerber files (including stencil aperture file), and Pick & Place file. For special testing, include test specs and fixture details.

Q5. What quality documents are included with shipment?

Standard documents: COC (Certificate of Conformance), First Article Inspection (FAI) report, AOI / X-RAY sampling records. Additional: SGS / RoHS / REACH reports, IPC-A-610 inspection reports available on request.

Q6. Are your production lines suitable for medical, automotive, or military applications?

Shinly is ISO 9001:2015 certified and follows IPC-A-610 Class 2/3 for quality judgment. Our lines are ESD-protected and climate-controlled, suitable for most consumer electronics, industrial control, and automotive electronics applications.
